It is with pleasure that we welcome you to the Bridge Race 2010 on 12th June. It is has been 10 long years to the day since the first ever race filled The Øresund Bridge with runners. Interest has, to say the least, been overwhelming, with the starting 30 000 places already sold out last year. It’s going to be an extra fun anniversary race.
Welcome to you all!
Time limit
All runners must have cleared The Øresund Bridge by 19:00 at the latest. Those who have not crossed the bridge at this time will be transported by bus to the finish area. The finish on Ribersborgsstigen will close at 20:00.
Dropping out of the race
If you drop out of the race, you will be transported to the finish area.
Please remember to return your chip.
Fluid stations
When you run a long distance you lose a lot of fluid. Make sure to drink before the race. It is also helpful to drink more than usual the last few days before the race. You will find water and energy drinks at all fluid stations except the ones on the island of Pepparholm and at the peak of the bridge, where only water will be provided.
Fluid stations are located on the island of Pepparholm (two stations), at the peak of the bridge, at Hammars Park, Strandgatan – Linnégatan and at the finish area.
Recycling
Make sure to throw empty containers in the waste bins near the fluid stations. This is particularly important on the bridge, for safety reasons as well as for environmental reasons.
The finish area
After the finishing line, there is a fluid station and showers. 200 metres further on you will reach the chip return area. After that, you will receive your finisher’s medal and a backpack as well as a banana, a muesli bar, a cinnamon bun and a chocolate bar. There are showers in this area as well.
Prize giving ceremony
The prize giving ceremony for the best male and female runners takes place 18:30 on the main stage.
